Karen joined Boswell PLLC after graduating from SMU Dedman School of Law in May 2024. While at SMU, she was very involved in the Student Bar Association, ultimately serving as President of the SMU chapter her last year. While in law school, Karen also served as an associate and chief counsel for the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic, where she honed her advocacy skills. She also founded and led the SMU Dedman Law Movement Running and Walking Club and was active in the Women in Law organization.

Her legal experience includes internships with Susan G. Komen, The Parvin Law Group, and Figari & Davenport. In her final semester, Karen dedicated over 10 hours each week as a legal research assistant for Allies Against Slavery, a program that aids the federal government in supporting victims of sex trafficking.

Notably, upon graduation, Karen was one of two students in her class elected by her peers to receive the prestigious John E. Kennedy Award, honoring two graduates who exemplify the spirit of service by working tirelessly to benefit the law school community.

Outside of her professional life, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and friends. She stays busy planning gatherings, trying out new recipes, practicing yoga, and mapping out her next adventure.
